Do You Like the Fun of a Whimsical Tablesetting…

It is always fun to see a whimsical tablesetting. An unexpected sight in most cases. These pretty dishes reflect the beauty of summer in a whimsical way.

The flower blossom ensembles make me think of a Fairy Themed Garden Tea Party…just imagine irridescent tablecovers in lime green, petal pink and sunshine yellow, layerd on top of each other with flower petals strewn all over, chairs with huge tulle bows around the backs of them with nosegays of summer garden flowers attached. Sparkly “Pixie Dust” scattered about among garden fairy statues as table decor. Tinkerbelle would surely be delighted to make an appearance at such a whimsically beautiful party!
This “Dirt Dessert” is the perfect choice for such a whimsical event……
Young and old alike will love this fun presentation!
Mix together the following….
12 oz. cream cheese, softened (this is optional if you have guests who don’t like cream cheese, it will taste great even w/out it)
1 pint heavy cream, whipped with 2 TBS of sugar added (you can use 12 oz. cntnr. of Cool Whip if you prefer)
2 sml. boxes instant vanilla pudding prepared according to the pie recipe on end of box
Then….
Crush 1 large bag of Oreo Cookies. You will also need a few small flower pots (usable for food) to present your dessert in.
Place a layer of Oreo crumbs in bottoms of pots, then a layer of the pudding mixture, layer more Oreo crumbs, pudding mixture, and so on, making sure the top layer is Oreo crumbs. Chill for a few hours and before serving add a few Gummie Worms and a silk flower to the tops of the pots.
You could also use faux butterflies and other bug creatures to embellish!
This dessert always gets rave reviews and several “isn’t that clever” type comments!
How will you add some whimsy to your summer table?
