It’s that time again….Tablescape Tuesday….the last one of 2008!
Can you believe it?! A shiny new year is almost here!
All of you talented ladies have inspired me with your incredible and creatively beautiful tablescapes! THANK YOU!
Susan, a BIG THANK YOU to you for hosting all this fun! For those of you visiting who don’t know it yet…you’ll need to go on over and visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for a list of creative tablescaping bloggers to visit for a dose of inspiration and beauty.
My tablescape today is not technically on a table…it is the server in my dining room. I had a lot of fun doing this tablescape this year as it is totally different from what I’ve done in the past. I spent a few days here and there this fall visiting different HomeGoods, Marshalls, TJMaxx and a few nice department stores, where I came up with a collection of faux mercury glass ornaments and candle holders, here’s what I did with some of them…
I centered my silver tea service atop a silver mirrored cake stand (one of several I picked up several years ago at Ross for less than $10 a piece!). I then added the bejeweled candle holders, elevating them on other candle holders.
I layed 2 pink feather boas around and scattered the ornaments on top.
I added ornaments in a hand blown pedestal compote, a pearly pink garland, pink and green ornaments, a silver bird and star to the tea service.
I added bright pink rose candle rings to my cherub candelabra lamps…one of my favorite things my Prince brought home to me a few years ago! (does he know me or what?!)
Voila! There you have it! My masterpiece!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Now don’t forget to go and check out all the rest…I promise they’ll be delicious!
