Trim the Tree Thursday…..

Back for another fun and inspiring Trim the Tree Thursday hosted by Brett who is The Southern Hostess (with the mostess) ! this is just too much fun, isn’t it?

These are some beautiful mums that I had purchased last year for Thanksgiving…and 3 or 4 weeks later they still looked like this! So, I put them on the entry table and added some feathers! (they have long since passed!)

This little tree is in my breakfast “room”, previously my dining “room”…I don’t think it qualifies as a “room” in and of itself as it is actually part of my kitchen. When we built this house… 19 years ago…I left the kitchen and dining room open to each other as my children were small and we never really used the dining room in our previous home. As I mentioned in last weeks Trim the Tree Thursday post, I later turned this area into my breakfast “room” and the family room into the dining room. Which we do now use!

I selected this wallpaper, a Lynn Hollyn design, many years ago because I wanted to feel like I was in a garden year round, and I STILL LOVE it! Lucky for me, Prince Charming does as well! The breakfast area is also home to my prize Susan Rios “Tea at Summer Hill” canvas, a rattan love seat with really comfy cushions, a pretty handpainted table, two chairs and a small pale green china displaying part of my beloved teacup collection!
(someday I’ll share pics of this “room” with you)

These little Victorian angels were on my coffee table last year…simple but beautiful!
I have not finished this years vignette….feel better now?!
The base is a mirror, I placed the angels then filled in with inexpensive iridescent garland (you’ll see the other way I used this soon!) a few ornaments and a sparkly candle…easy and elegant, right?!

This beauty was compliments of nature “trimming the tree” during an ice storm right before Christmas last year…it was soooo beautiful, but it did cause my pretty curly willow to shed a few major branches… but she did recover!
Isn’t it sad that something so pretty can be so destructive?

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit, I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have! Come by again real soon. Hopefully next week…my great room!
Have a happy Thursday!
