I know! I know! You’ve heard it all before and you have a long list of
reasons excuses as to why you just don’t have time to do it! Am I right?!
Here’s the thing…….If YOU don’t take care of YOU, who will? And if YOU are completely empty how can you fill others up? Your car doesn’t run without gas, does it? or oil, does it? If you attempt to run it without gas you won’t get very far and you’ll have to walk or wait for help..…and if you attempt to run it without oil, do you know what will happen? You will cause irreparable damage to your car and you will have to replace it! Neither of those scenarios are desireable…..one worse than the other!
Pretty much the same thing happens to YOU when you neglect to make & take time for YOU! You will get depleted of energy, patience, joy and peace. You’ll start to feel run down and overwhelmed and you may even get sick.
It doesn’t take much to replenish, rejuvenate & refuel yourself, especially if you make it a daily, weekly and monthly habit!
Here are 4 Simple Steps to Make & Take Time for YOU!
- Work time for you into your days, maybe a 15-30 minute break for some stretches, or a cup of tea, a quick walk outside or a dance break….whatever nurtures you!
- Then be sure to work a little longer time in for you once a week and then a day a few times a month.
- Make a list of things that fill you up so you can go to it when you need ideas, add to your list regularly, that way you will always have some great choices for YOU TIME!
- Put time for YOU on your calendar and keep it like any other important appointment.
