Tablescape Tuesday…A Festive Winter Garden Tablescape…

YAY!!!
It’s Tablescape Tuesday! Our Hostess, Susan, at Between Naps on the Porch, has a list of a whole bunch of fabulous bloggers that go all out to display their fantabulous tablescaping skills!
Pop over, say hello and go peek at the lovely tables awaiting your visit!

Are you all as excited as I am? When it comes to Christmas, I still get that childlike excitement, the closer it gets-the more excited I get! It’s a special time of year for me spiritually, as I celebrate the birth of Christ. It’s also a time that I love to shower gifts on my children and to make an extra effort to get together with family and friends.

I had a dilemma all this past week…….I couldn’t make up my mind as to what tablesetting I wanted to use for our Christmas brunch…I had about six different ones set out. I loved them all but was partial to one, so I decided to ask Prince Charming his opinion. He wasn’t much help as he loved them all, too, he did however express an extra bit of enthusiasm for the one I was partial to. Hmmm…I still felt like I needed some affirmation…so I asked my beautiful youngest daughter, Princess Veinor (name changed to protect her privacy!). Well…to my delight, she did not hesitate to tell me that they were all very beautiful but “this one” is her favorite! “This one” being the one I was partial to. So there we had it!

Now…here it is! My Festive Winter Garden tablescape! You all know from my last post that I LOVE flowers (and florals and gardens). I have many different floral patterns through out my home that I love…on china, fabric, wallpaper, pillows, bedding, artwork and actual floral arrangements….I just LOVE flowers!

I decided to go with a white on white (white matelasse tablecover, white chargers and white wreath around my centerpiece) for a snowy feeling (I love snow, too!) and then I added my blue and rose floral dishes (that PC surprised me with for Mother’s Day…which he hunted and gathered from several HomeGoods) and my Royal Albert, Old Country Roses, Seasons of Color topiary dessert plates…love these (another HomeGoods find)! The “chargers” are actually white iridescent scalloped plates that I stumbled upon several years ago after Christmas at Bath & Body Works. The store in the mall near me only had about 4 (they were used to package fragrance sets) they were marked down to 3.99 each and were 50% off….I could hardly believe my eyes…these plates were the perfect “snowflake chargers”! I asked if they had more, they didn’t, but called other stores and had 12 more shipped to me…free shipping! How often does that happen?!

I added iridescent table confetti that looks like chunks of ice, silver wire tree shaped place card holders, pink ornaments in colored cordial glasses and pearly blossom napkin rings (that I call snowflakes December through March). The goblets are Princess House.
Voila!
My Festive Winter Garden Tablescape!
I love it!
Now…hopefully, I won’t feel the need to change my selection before Christmas morning!
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
