Pretty Purple Tablescape….

It’s Tablescape Tuesday! YAY!
This is so much fun! It is amazing how many different ideas you all come up with! There is truly something for every style and budget.
To admire the beauty that the talented Tablescape Tuesday gals have created this week, go visit our lovely hostess, Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.
My tablescape this week reflects my passion for purple! I LOVE purple…always have, always will! Ever since I can remember, purple has been my hands down favorite color! I have made it my “Signature Color”! It is amazing what you can find in the color purple…I’ll share more on that in another post!

Everyone who knows me even just a tiny bit knows my love affair with purple…and my very closest friends search out purple gifts for me, aren’t I lucky! This Christmas was no exception! I received 4 lovely purple cut glass goblets from my dear friend, Catherine, in Georgia (she found a beautiful purple compote dish for me last year for my b-day) and my dear friend, Sherry, gave me a set of two cakestands made of …you guessed it! purple glass! (she’s the one who gave me the purple napkins you’ll see here)
Over the years I have collected many purple tabletop items…here, I’ve gathered some together to create this romantic and elegant tablescape…enjoy!

since I don’t have purple dishes, I used purple foil doilies under clear plates on top of my Bernadotte Ivory china by Baum Brothers. I used the goblets Catherine sent me, and see the purple compote filled with pink feathers? Lucky for me pink and purple work so well together because pink is my next favorite color…and what is a tablescape by Kathleen without feathers? OH NO!!! I just realized I forgot to use my most adorable little purple feathered birds…how could I forget???? Darn! guess I’ll have to show you those on another tablescape, oh pooh!
I added one of the purple cakestands that Sherry gave me…yes, the same Sherry from last Tablescape Tuesday. She also gave me that yummie looking (faux) cake with an adorable little pink cakestand another year for my b-day! That will be featured on a Pink Saturday post.(They’re soooo good to me!)

Purple candles, candlesticks, salt & pepper shakers, hydrangeas with purple (and pink) and even teacups with purple flowers.
All of this is sitting on top of a velvet beaded throw layered with a sheer sequined table runner (which is actually a shawl). I then scattered little purple silk hydrangea blossoms all over.

Romantic, isn’t it!
