Tablescape Tuesday…in my split personality dining room!

It’s Tablescape Tuesday…YAY!Join in on the fun by visiting Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for a list of fun blogs to visit for Tablescape Inspiration!
This was my Thanksgiving table…there were only six of us this year…my one son in law is a Marine and is somewhere overseas…we miss him and wish he could have been here with us at the table…he is always with us in thought and spirit!

I love to use these Spode dishes for Thanksgiving…the pink and green go wonderfully with my color scheme.

This was my “you can see over it centerpiece” I threw together last minute when I decided not to get fresh flowers since I would not be home to enjoy them because the day after Thanksgiving, I, and most of my family headed up to New England to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday.

I took one of my tiered servers and filled it with pinecones, pinecone balls, glittered acorn and pinecone ornaments, a few Christmas balls and silk leaves. The showey peacock on top I found last year after Christmas…isn’t she pretty?!

My dining room had a split personality this year as I decided to put my tree up a few days early(since I was going away). Usually I decorate all of Thanksgiving weekend…I didn’t want to come home Sunday night feeling I was behind schedule so I decided to get my trees done before I left.
More about those on Trim the Tree Thursday!

Some Easy Elegance for the Holidays tablescape tips I used on my Thanksgiving table…

*scatter table confetti around the table

*combine two pretty cloth napkins together as one

*use creative placecards to assign seating for your guests

*purchase or create beautiful napkin rings to compliment your theme

*select tall 18″ or 24″ white tapers for a very elegant feel

*use stemware for instant elegance
*HAVE FUN!
