Pink and Turquoise Tea for Two
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know that I absolutely love to create a beautiful table…. And that I love tea!
A few weeks ago I was inspired by a gorgeous vintage tablecloth I have to create a pink and turquoise tea setting.
I found some beautiful flowers at the grocery store and then I “shopped” some of my own treasures & collections for the rest of the table.
Candles and flowers are an easy, no-fail centerpiece! For this centerpiece, I’ve added a small framed watercolor that was a gift from a sweet FB friend and a cute little enameled bird frame that just happens to have a bit of the pretty turquoise that you’ll see in the rest of the setting.
To add interest to any tablesetting, layer the dishes! You don’t need to have matching sets, mix and match the pieces you have, experiment and have fun! If you like it, it works!
Here, I layered a pale turquoise dinner plate, a floral salad plate and a vintage tea cup and saucer. The colors overlap in the pieces, pulling it all together. I love the soft turquoise with the more brilliant shade of turquoise and the pop of raspberry pink from the roses!
The pink pressed glass goblet was a gift from a dear longtime friend. I’m blessed to have friends who give me the most thoughtful gifts!
Isn’t this little watercolor beautiful?! It makes me smile!
Several years ago I purchased multiple different patterns of vintage silver flatware from some of my favorite little antique shops. I purposefully did not purchase one matching set because I love the collected look of different patterns in the same setting.
This vintage table cloth was the inspiration for my Pink and Turquoise Tea for Two!
I hope I’ve inspired you to create a pretty table to share with a friend over tea! Whatever YOUR style is, don’t be afraid to mix and match your items to create something that makes YOU smile!
I’d love to hear about a pretty table setting you’ve created and where you draw your inspiration from! Let me know in the comment section, below!
