Are You Feeling Exotic? or..Has Your Table Gone WILD?!
Aren’t these dishes wild?! For some maybe a bit too wild….boy could they be fun to work with!
Talk about a tablesetting that is “outside the box”!
Imagine the setting to the left on a tablecloth with an exotic palm tree pattern in a fresh green and cloth napkins in a cheetah or zebra print! A centerpiece of ferns and bird-of-paradise in a black or deep red vase…..oooohhhh my! How stunning would that be?! Napkin rings could be fashioned from silk ferns or palm leaves or even an animal print wired ribbon. Some bamboo type placemats would set it off . You could cover votive holders with leaves or an inexpensive woven, flexible placemat, resembling rattan or bamboo, cut into strips and glued around the votive holders.
Are you feeling a little Wild and Crazy?!
The setting on the right could easily be made into a very elegant formal evening affair with a black satiny or a metallic bronze tablecover (think fabric store remnants). Faux leather deep brown or metallic bronze placemats with rich burnt orange or deep camel cream color cloth napkins.

How exotically elegant!
A row of exotic lillies or orchids running down the center of the table with very tall cream colored tapers in black candlesticks would surely add to the elegance.
Are you ready for some Exotic Elegance?

Pour this mixture over the noodle/slaw mixture and DO NOT stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Toss/mix just before serving.
For variation you can add chopped waterchestnuts and oriental bean sprouts.
For a heartier main dish add chopped chicken.
Serve with chopsticks for an “authentic” experience, or in my case, a good laugh!
