Tablescape Thursday….Paris Bistro Breakfast……and THANK YOU, Melanie!

Aaaaaahhh! it’s Tablescape Thursday! and the last Thursday in February…YAY! This must mean that SPRING is just around the corner…in fact SPRING is just 23 days away…YIPPEE!

This week I am preoccupied with the preparation of moving Princess Veinor back to NC. I must say…the time has passed way too quickly and I am going to miss having her pop in 4 or 5 afternoons during the week and hanging out on Saturdays. (which is the reason I’ve been MIA lately)

Anyway…as a result I didn’t have a lot of time to get my thoughts together but…I did decide to do a Paris Bistro Breakfast in honor of my blogging friend in France, Melanie at Le Petit Cabinet de Curiosites
More about that after we finish breakfast!

BONJOUR !

Welcome…to my little corner of Paris! (I will not even attempt to interject my extremely limited French vocabulary here!)

The table has been set for two lovely ladies who just can’t wait to catch up while they enjoy a light fare…the black and white tablecloth was a find at HomeGoods, the Paris and Bistro signs are from TJMaxx, a few years ago for a Paris Bistro Dinner Party I hosted.

We are light breakfast eaters and decided to order one of our favorite treats…buttery croissants and fresh strawberries…mmmmm! I love croissants lightly grilled in a pan with butter, of course! (I never said this would be lo-cal!) then a dab of strawberry jam and some fresh berries…does it get any better?!

Now…I must brag a bit here!

Take a look at this napkin…(click on pics to enlarge) Princess Brannabee made these for me and Princess V for Valentine’s Day with her own two little hands and the new sewing machine we got her for her Christmas/30th b-day gift! She found the linen napkins at GW, ordered this lovely Eiffel Tower fabric online and figured out the fancy border stitch and added the teeny weeny rhinestone buttons. Aren’t they adorable??!! I want MORE! She’s already dreaming up new designs….and one of these days…they will be available to purchase!

OK…back to our Paris Bistro Breakfast…

These adorable little Eiffel Tower salt & pepper shakers were from Marshall’s several years ago.
The feather boa is apropos, don’t cha think?!

The PINK French shoe plates were a find after Christmas at Marshall’s…there’s a set of four you can see here. They are adorable!
I placed them on top of some gold chargers I have that I turned upside down…a little trick I learned from some of you Tablescape Divas!

I brought along one of my favorite books…PARIS Hotels & More by Angelika Taschen. The pictures are fabulous…it’s a very cost effective way to take a little jaunt to Paris whenever you feel the need!

I hope you’ve enjoyed your little getaway for a Paris Bistro Breakfast!

Now, I must THANK Melanie! She ran a guessing game contest a few weeks ago and I WON! …this lovely little ceramic menu…which goes perfectly with my ceramic placecard holders.

Melanie has a lovely blog…please go and pay her a visit by clicking on her blog name above…you’re in for a treat!

Merci, Melanie!

There are many more fabulous tablescapes awaiting your admiration…so, heat up your coffee and grab another croissant and go say “bonjour” to our lovely Tablescape Diva-hostess Susan at Between Naps on the Porch and be sure to go and visit all the other Tablescape Divas!

BONJOUR! mon ami’s!
