Tea, Yard Sales, Mother’s Day and WHP-TV…

Wow! I can hardly believe it’s been 19 days since I’ve visited with you! In realizing this I wondered….where in the world did those days go?

Let’s see….on the 24th of April I left for New England for several days to host a tea party for my cousins and their daughters on the 26th. There were about 20 of us and we had a fabulous time(I’ll share more of this fun event with you at a later date). It took a few days of preparation and planning to pull it off as I bring up all the components…tea cups, tea pots, tea, food, decorations, centerpieces, favors….you get the picture.

Upon returning from the tea party fun it was time for me to get to work on gathering, cleaning up and pricing tons of stuff so I could participate in our neighborhood yardsale on May 3rd…(something I haven’t done for at least 6 years) which was a huge success! Not to mention it left me with some much needed space!

An unexpected treat that weekend was a visit from my daughter, Princess Vienor and her hubby, Knight in Shining Armor! They live in NC and decided to make a last minute visit up to see their mothers before Mother’s Day as they cannot make it up this weekend.

Knight in Shining Armor presented me with the most beautiful Haviland Limoge teacup and saucer that he, himself, selected for me for Mother’s Day! This is the same young man who brought back, from Ireland, a layover on his way home from 7 months in Iraq, a set of Irish linen napkins for my Christmas gift! What a guy!

Now…that brings me to this past Monday, the 5th of May…..May…can you believe it?!

After two such busy weeks it was time for me to catch up on some work and prepare for my segment on WHP-TV tomorrow morning…”Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Ideas”… during which I will be sharing some very cool last minute gift ideas for you to give to your mom.
