Aaaahhh…Thursday…it must be time to post a tablescape!

Susan, at Between Naps on the Porch, thought it would be fun to share tablescapes…and you know what? IT IS! If you’d like to join the FUN posting and/or visiting..stop by her place and join in!

Today was another very busy day, full of twists and turns trying to get me off track. At one point I realized I was sooo hungry and figured it must be lunch time…but it wasn’t! It was only 10:45! Now, I do get up early and eat my breakfast pretty early (most mornings) but I’m not usually hungry for lunch til around 11:30. Not today…rather than fight it, I decided to go with it…

and prepare myself a nice salad with a bit of cottage cheese on the side (for protein)…then I remembered that I needed a tablescape for TT (which I usually remember after I’ve set the table, eaten and started cleaning up!)….so, trying to operate in the “efficient” mode I’d been fighting to stay in all morning…I decided to set myself a nice little ‘scape to enjoy while I ate my lunch (my first lunch…or second breakfast) by myself!

So… I brought my favorite “Princessy” chair from the dining room into the breakfast room,

grabbed my new Victoria magazine (Bliss!)…

put one of my favorite April Cornell placemats down, set out some of my prized mis-matched silver, and one of the beautiful etched glasses Prince Charming brought home for me. I filled that with ginger peach iced tea. I lit a candle and put my salad on a pretty little Limoge plate with delicate pink flowers on it.

Then I sat down (after I took the pictures), forgot about everything on my “to-do list” (for 15 minutes anyway) and ate my lunch while I savored my Victoria!

Then…I was ready to tackle the rest of the day!
