Lobstah Picnic in the Great Room….
Hi all! It’s Tablescape Thursday once again…you know we ALL enjoy Tablescape Thursday!
It’s fun whether you participate with a tablescape or if you just go and visit all the Tablescape Divas who “set the scene” for us!
Last week I decided to take a little break from my computer…I had quite a busy week with the holiday, my son’s birthday celebration and my oldest daughter having some surgery…I just wasn’t “in the zone”, you know what I mean?! Prince Charming and I enjoyed the long weekend and the beautiful weather, I made my son a dinner of his choice and we all gathered (minus Princess V and her Knight, who are in NC) to wish him a happy 25th birthday, and Friday I had a most wonderful visit with my SIL, Renaissance Man while his wife, my daughter, Princess B was in surgery all day. She is fine and is home recovering. It was a good week but tiring.
On Sunday of the holiday weekend, Prince Charming made one of his absolute favorite summer meals…( he’s from Massachusetts and still has the accent)…he made “lobstah rolls”…and they were DELICIOUS!
It was a very low key weekend…nothing fancy or formal or fussy…but, you know me…I had to make a pretty setting for us to enjoy while we savored the first “lobstah rolls” of the season.
It was a simple but elegant meal…”lobstah” is elegant, isn’t it? and we had the most perfectly crisp fries and a glass of Chenin Blanc…it was casual elegance at it’s best!

We even had seconds…oooohhhh, it was soooo good! Who says you have to go to the beach to enjoy a delicious “lobstah roll”…next time I think I’ll put on the ocean waves CD!
